1 C. Butter
2 C. Sugar
1 C. Buttermilk
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
1 tsp. Baking Soda
Bring Butter, Sugar and buttermilk to a boil, stirring constantly. Turn the heat down and add the vanilla and baking soda. Stir well. It will fizz a lot keep stirring while serving, serve warm.
